Troubleshooting Form Generation Issues

Fix common issues with contract form auto-fill: missing fields, formatting errors, and regeneration.

If form generation produces unexpected results, follow these troubleshooting steps.

Missing fields:The most common issue is missing data in the listing record. Check that these fields are complete before generating:Seller name and contact info (from FINTRAC intake in Phase 1)Property address (must be the full legal address, not abbreviated)List price (must be a number, not text)Commission terms (percentage or flat fee)

Formatting issues:If dates, phone numbers, or addresses appear incorrectly:Dates must be in YYYY-MM-DD format in the databasePhone numbers must include country code (+1)Addresses should use the BC Geocoder-validated format from Phase 2

Regenerating forms: If you update listing details after generating forms, click "Regenerate" in Phase 5. All 12 forms are regenerated with the latest data. Previous versions are not overwritten — they remain in the document history.

Missing form types: If a specific form (e.g., DRUP for dual representation) doesn't appear, check that the listing conditions require it. Some forms are only generated when specific conditions are met (dual agency, strata property, etc.).
